Cribbage Pro Top 50

Cribbage Pro Top 50

Cribbage Pro tracks and records a set of statistics of each game played to completion on a central server and scores points for each to determine a ranking for each player in our Top 50 leaderboard. Unfinished games, or games quit/closed out before completion, are also recorded and displayed on the “Top 50” screen as a loss. Other than this, the details are the same as those seen on the standard statistics screen detailed out in the statistics page, but the top stats page shows global ranking against all players which is a system of scoring that you access by clicking the “View Top 50” button. The points earned in the Top 50 for single player derive mostly from the Cribbage Pro Achievements System. A vast majority of points earned will come from achievements earned in a game (win or lose), but the base points work as outlined immediately below.

The following restrictions are also currently in place for the “Top 50”:

  • Players with unfinished games they have abandoned and thereby forfeited are counted as a loss in the “Top 50”, although not shown as such at the individual level.
  • Players at level 6 or above (points >= 2500) will not be awarded points for a win against a Novice computer player (and no loss of points for a loss). Achievement points are still awarded.
  • Players at level 8 or above (points >= 2750) will not be awarded points for a win against an Intermediate or Novice computer player (and no loss of points for a loss). Achievement points are still awarded.
  • The minimum award for a win against the advanced computer is 4 points, the intermediate is 2 and the novice is 1.

To view the detailed statistics of a player on the “Top 50” screen, click/select them. The screen shown matches that shown for the individual.

This stats page shows the current date and your current ranking, if under 1000, along with the top 50 players as of that moment in time as calculated by the server. Levels are awarded based solely on points earned and points are awarded based on a formula that considers both your and your opponents rank/difficulty in determining how many points to award or points to subtract per win or loss. A minimum of 1 point is given/subtracted for a win/loss to a maximum of 41. No player is allowed to go below 0 points at any time.
